How Renewable energy and the environment find their way into each other

Initially, the primary impediment for developing more renewable energy projects was opposition from the rural communities. The experts who thought this way explained that the projects were good, although uneducated people interfered with their successful implementation. However, some experts think of some hindrances in the projects that the so-called “uninformed” people saw through them and decided to oppose them. The proponents of this thought continue to argue, stating that the renewable energy projects might have some detrimental environmental impacts, which is why they were greatly opposed. Moreover, there’s a likelihood that these projects would have had massive environmental triggers than the benefits that they’d bring to the people.

A perfect argument example is that New York is not like Arizona or California, which has wide open and freely spaced land that cannot support agricultural activities. Most New York areas are ideal breeding grounds for migratory birds, bats, and raptors. Additionally, the New York constitution advocates for the protection of farmlands and natural resources. The state also has high population density making it highly devastating to the land to add another pressure of renewable energy project. These variables indicate that large renewable energy projects would be a significant problem. It stresses the land that would have been available for other activities that require small subdivisions.

The previous policy on land approval to develop renewable energy projects created avenues for the public, municipal, and developers to benefit from the lands. Both sides came to a pact to present their cases and why they think these projects would interfere with their activities. The categorization of lands under wildlife, wetlands, residential, and farmlands minimizes the land available to approve other projects like renewable energy. Developers of renewable energy have had many cases against their projects, forcing them to think of alternative ways to escape these unending struggles. Some agencies have halted projects that had started to ensure that they do not interfere with the environment.

Many regulations surrounding renewable energy projects were marred with bureaucratic regulations. However, the realization that these projects will eventually characterize the future has altered the initially rigid elements’ mindset to start thinking in the proper perspective. New regulations are emerging on how companies can develop their renewable energy projects to ensure that the states are not left behind in the wave of transitioning to new technology.
